Why do people stay in London, and then return again and again? Quite simply, there is so much to see and do in our country’s capital city, so much of which is within walking distance of our apartments! Enjoy a West End show in Theatreland, spend an hour or a day at The British Museum (most museums in London offer free general admission and you just pay to gain entry in to specific exhibitions if you wish) or one of the many other galleries or museums in the area. Covent Garden is also a great area to explore with street performers adding to the vibrant atmosphere. And when you’ve seen it all at ground level, how about escalating yourself to the dizzy riverside heights of the London Eye? Maybe you could even combine this with a ticket offering you boat travel along the Thames for yet another view point.
Central London abounds in fascinating historical buildings and landmarks and you can be driven around to most in an open-top double decker bus tour, complete with informative commentary. Alternatively if you prefer, you can simply stroll around seeing the sights. There are a number of companies offering either traditional guided walking tours or you could opt for an MP3 tour to guide you around at your own pace.
Some people book holidays to London dedicated purely to shopping, whilst for others, this is just one of the many ways to enjoy a few hours strolling around town. Our apartments are perfectly located within a very close walking distance to some of the most world renowned shopping areas including Oxford St, Regent St and Carnaby St, where you can find anything from a glamorous new pair of shoes to the latest gadgets and gizmos.
