
TERMS & CONDITIONS
For University/Institution Accommodation
1. Details of outline booking to be submitted to Acorn 12 months prior to anticipated arrival, together with possible numbers.
2. Arrival and departure dates plus anticipated number of beds requested to be confirmed to Acorn 6 months prior to arrival.
3. A non refundable 10% deposit must be paid 3 months prior to arrival in order to secure the booking.
4. Any requests for additional beds after the 3 month point will be accommodated where possible.
5. Acorn will not guarantee the provision of housing until we are in receipt of the deposit.
6. Acorn confirm they will do their utmost to house any additional numbers after the confirmation date has elapsed.
7. Acorn will inform the institution as soon as possible of their inability to house any additional numbers.
8. The balance of the housing rent is due 6 weeks prior to arrival following submission of an invoice from Acorn. Failure to comply could result in housing not being available, and will result at interest being charged at 5% above Lloyds TSB base rate per day until payment is received.
9. In the event of any cancellations on invoiced numbers, and if Acorn are unable to re-sell the beds, the following cancellation fees will be charged.
5 weeks prior to arrival : 15% of total booking per cancellation
4 weeks prior to arrival : 25% of total booking per cancellation
3 weeks prior to arrival : 30% of total booking per cancellation
2 weeks prior to arrival : 50% of total booking per cancellation
1 week or less prior to arrival : 100% of total booking per cancellation
